I remember when my children watched Mr. Rogers. Now my grandchildren get to see all the old shows here on our local PBS station. Did you know he was Reverend Fred Rogers? He was a kind and wonderful man.

I should see if his show still airs here (I get like, 5 PBS stations here so it should!) My son would probably love it. He likes to watch Max and Ruby, Little Bear, and Franklin and they're sort of on the same hyper meter (very low that is).

Golly... I don't know if I should even admit this or not... but I HATED Mr. Rogers as a child! (sorry.... should I run and bury my head now???) As an adult, I can appreciate his show, and his love for children, but because I had such an aversion to him when I was young, I still can't hardly watch it.

I must be a weirdo! :/

You're not the first person to admit this. I've met several people who weren't Mr. Rogers fans. He's just not everyones cup of tea.

HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH AND BE PROUD OF YOUR DISLIKES! :)

Although his was the only show that my hyperactive cousin would sit through quietly. Go fig.

They did a study that those who were For Mr. Rogers & against.

The ones against were later diagnosed with ADHD.

I'll find the study that was on the internet.
Interesting reading.

Actually, in today's world my cousin (who was born in 1964 when ADHD were just a bunch of letters) would have been diagnosed as ADHD. He never sat still except for Mr. Rogers. Maybe he's the exception to the rule.

I am a fan of Mr. Rogers. I grew up watching it and our daughter Elisabeth still loves to watch Mr Roger's Videos. What a great impact Fred Rogers has made on the lives of all ages. If you have not read it, you might want to read: The Simple Faith of Mister Rogers It really gives a lot of insight to what Mister Rogers was all about and his reason for the T.V. show. Blessings All!

I watched a video on him not too long ago (for the life of me I can't remember when, or what it was called), but like Dan said, it really was amazing to see the man behind the T.V. show. Believe me, even though he's not my favorite watch on the tube, I have huge respect for the man, especially after watching his bio.

Oh, and Froggy... as for the ADHD theory, if I had/have it, it was adult onset! LOL I was a mild mannered kid, but now I'd say the "HD" part of the diagnosis applies! *grin*
