December 2008 Calvary Chapel Signal Hill/Downey Shows

Hi everyone:
It has been awhile …. Had a lot going on, My Daughter had surgery, my father past away, got hurt really bad while trying to remodel our new church. But I’m back!!!! In December we did four shows. First and second shows were on Saturday. We were going to perform at Calvary Chapel Downey at 7:00pm (have dinner) then drive to Costa Mesa to perform at 9:30pm for Angel Tree.
(Angel Tree Christmas dinner works by connecting parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts. In most cases, local church volunteers purchase and deliver gifts and the gospel to children in the name of their prisoner-parent)

Thank the Lord we had two stages. We drove to Costa Mesa at 12:30pm to setup the stage and speakers; well no one was there so we had lunch. Then we came back and were able to set up. First we set up in the corner then they told us we need to setup in the middle (this is fun) then we started to run out of time. So we drove back to Downey and met everyone their and set up. Then we ate and did our show. We packed up the puppets and lights (everyone at Downey took down the stage and locks it up in Pastor Rudy’s office) then all sixteen of us jumped into our cars and raced to Costa Mesa. There were a lot of children at the Angel Tree Dinner. We got there and 10mins later we were on. Boy were we tried but we did it, two shows in one night (let’s not try this again! Oh wait we do this again next Sunday!) Next Sunday we performed for Signal Hill (same thing happen) we performed at 10:00am (church ended at 12:00) then we packed the puppets and lights (we had the second stage in the van, Signal Hill took down the stage) and off we went to Hollywood Presbyterian, they have a lunch for the homeless children. It’s very hard on body but it makes a lot of children happy. The Lord really blessed Ray & I with a great team that loves what their doing.
